Attempted burglary at Milestone

Police are investigating an attempted burglary at a Douglas garage.

It happened at the Milestone filling station on Peel Road around 1.30 yesterday morning

Two men stopped on the forecourt in a dark coloured car and tried to kick down the front and back doors to the building, but the alarms went off, causing them to drive off.

Police are waiting for CCTV footage of the incident.

The investigating officer, Constable Scott Fielding says the offenders did not gain access to the building and no damage was caused”.
