Council take over Civic Amenity site

Four specially recruited members of corporation staff will be spending the day at the Middle River amenity site, familiarising themseves before the site opens to the public tomorrow (Sat).

Council Leader David Christian has paid tribute to the work of Tels Skips, the former operator who left the site yesterday evening. A long legal dispute ended with whats been termed 'an agreed settlement'.

He says they will look at how best to use the site:
