It's National Marine Week

A week of events to celebrate the Island's coastline and marine life has just begun.

National Marine Week aims to make people aware of the delicate balance of life in our seas - and ensure it's protected for the future.

Over-fishing and pollution are constant dangers for marine creatures.

Lisa Chilton from the Marine Wildlife Trust says they'll be promoting the conservation message all around the British Isles:

There'll be a full report on National Marine Week and events in the Isle of Man on Monday's Mandate programme from 7.30am.
