The Chief Executive of the Manx Electricity Authority says his staff will do whatever they can to help people cope with increased energy costs this winter.
That includes practical advice on saving energy around the home, and also help on budgeting for what could be significantly bigger bills than people are used to.
With gas prices up 22% and electricity rising by over 16% from September, consumers - especially those on low or fixed incomes - will be in for a tough time when the cold nights draw in.
