Flu jab for under-fives?

Could the mass vaccination of children under the age of five help stop the spread of flu among the whole population?

The UK Health Protection Agency believes it could - because young children are more likely to pass on the virus, due to their lower immunities.

The Agency reckons giving a flu jab to youngsters could cut the spread of some strains of flu by up to seventy per cent.

The Island's Director of Public Health Dr Paremeswaran Kishore (pictured) says it's potentially a good idea - but there are pros and cons:
