Chief Minister rebuts Mec Vannin claim

Chief Minister Tony Brown has rebutted a claim the Isle of Man's independence may have been diminished by a declaration signed with the United Kingdom more than a year ago.

Yesterday, Mec Vannin said the Island may have handed over more power to Westminster, without realising it.

Chief Minister Tony Brown (pictured) says those comments appear to be based on a misunderstanding of our constitutional relationship with the UK.

He says there is now greater clarity about the Island's international position and identity:
