Grenade dealt with after alarm sounded

by isleofman.com 5th August 2008
Explosive experts were flown into the Island yesterday to deal with a hand grenade.

The alert was raised near Johnny Wattersons Lane in Douglas when the grenade was found in the possession of a boy.

On examination it was seen to have been deactivated and seemed to have been taken apart and stuck together a number of times.

It was taken to a nearby field and dealt with by EOD or Explosive Ordinance Disposal officers.
