US schoolgirl sings Island's praises

A young American visitor to these shores has been flying the flag for the Isle of Man in her home state of North Carolina.

Fourteen year-old Georgia Wedgwood wrote a glowing article about her holiday here in the Burlington Times News.

She told readers they could find 'peace and paradise' in the Island, which she called 'a must-see destination for those who love history, beautiful scenery and stunning wildlife'.

Georgia says she was compelled to write the piece after visiting her uncle and grandparents here this summer:
