Meat plant talks could help farmers

The Agriculture Minister has hinted at some good news in the pipeline for Manx farmers.

Phil Gawne says he's been working on a package with Treasury and Isle of Man Meats to improve the sums paid to producers at the meat plant.

He says negotiations are ongoing, but he's confident there will be a better return.

Mr Gawne (pictured) says there are still issues to address within the industry, but he's hopeful a corner has been turned:
