Farmhill Manor decision expected soon

by isleofman.com 9th August 2008
A decision is awaited on the future of an historic manor house in Douglas, after a hearing this week.

Heritage Homes is bidding to have Farmhill Manor removed from the Protected Buildings Register, so the site can be redeveloped.

The Manx farmhouse dates back to 1430 and was converted in the 18th century.

Planners refused Heritage Homes’ initial application, and the move is being opposed by South Douglas MHKs David Cretney (pictured) and Bill Malarkey, among others.
