Island prisoners transferred

The transfer of prisoners from Victoria Road in Douglas to the new jail at Jurby is almost complete (3pm).

The 'big move' has been underway all day - but is only being made public now for security reasons.

It's been months in the planning - and has involved more than 80 officers, spread between both prisons.
