IoM in fifth

by isleofman.com 18th August 2008
There was disappointment for the Island’s golf team which had to settle for fifth place in the Northern Counties Championship at Castletown.

After holding onto second position following the first round, the hosts eventually slipped to fifth, just behind Cumbria.

Paul Lowey had the Island’s best score over two rounds with a combined 149.

Lancashire were the tournament winners from Northumberland.
