High police presence for MGP fortnight

There will be a high police presence around the Isle of Man over the next couple of weeks.

As the Manx Grand Prix gets underway and more bikers arrive, officers want to ensure the roads are as safe as possible.

That means monitoring speed limits in towns and villages and being visible in well-known accident black spots.

Meanwhile, there's a plea to drivers to check their vehicles for fuel leaks.

Clerk of the Course Phil Taubman says spillages around the TT course could be very dangerous (audio file attached):
