India relationships 'vital'

The focus of the World's economy is set to move east and it's vital for the Isle of Man to build relationships out there now.

Treasury Minister Allan Bell was speaking after an important meeting with India's Finance Minister in London this week.

It's predicted India will be the world's second largest economy, behind China, by 2025.

Mr Bell says the global financial situation isn't great at the moment, but it will recover and the Island should be ready to capitalise on the new business opportunities which'll arise when it does (audio file attached):
