The Manx Grand Prix Road Safety campaign has been officially launched by the Department of Transport.
'Ride Safe. If you don’t, it could hit someone hard' – is the campaign’s strap line and features a series of images designed to reflect the impact of a road traffic collision on a variety of people.
Road Safety Manager Gordon Edwards (pictured) says it presents a simple and hard-hitting message and it’s hoped the images will make a lasting impression on locals and visitors during Grand Prix fortnight.
The Mountain Road will remain two-way for the duration of the Manx Grand Prix and the department’s road safety unit will be organising static displays at various locations around the Island, beginning this afternoon (Mon) at the BSA Rally in Laxey Valley Gardens.
