An uncle from Ramsey has managed to persuade his nephew to join him on a trip which will take them almost to the top of the world.
Richard Hird and Andrew Kaighen will climb Kilimanjaro - the world's highest free-standing Mountain.
It's to raise money for the Isle of Man Anti-Cancer Association and to fulfil one of Richard's long-held ambitions.
It'll be a six-day expedition and the pair have already had to have countless jabs to prepare them for the trip in October.
Richard says when it comes to reaching the top, it's not necessarily climbing 19,500 feet which will prove the biggest challenge (audio file attached):
If you'd like to sponsor the pair, the number to call is 819215.
