IoM needs a velodrome, says MHK

The time is right for the Isle of Man to have a velodrome and the Government should push ahead with making it happen.

That's according to Onchan MHK and former commissioner David Quirk.

Last year, the local authority rejected the Isle of Man Cycling Association plans to use Onchan Stadium for that very purpose.

And he feels it is a viable project, if the velodrome's part of a multi-use facility (audio file attached):
