Civil Defence recruitment drive

by isleofman.com 22nd August 2008
One of the Island's key voluntary organisations is launching a recruitment drive.

The Civil Defence corps is looking for members of the public with a strong sense of community spirit and adventure.

Members will be expected to attend regular two hour weekly training sessions, in return for which they receive a uniform and a small financial fee.

Assistant Emergency Planning Officer Ian Young says the work appeals to all members of society (audio file attached):

If you would like to get involved, you should ring 694316 or 694317.
