One of the Island's key voluntary organisations is launching a recruitment drive.
The Civil Defence corps is looking for members of the public with a strong sense of community spirit and adventure.
Members will be expected to attend regular two hour weekly training sessions, in return for which they receive a uniform and a small financial fee.
