Visiting motorcyclist dies in accident

A visiting motorcyclist has been killed in a road accident.

The 43 year-old man from Scotland was involved in a collision with a car in the Greeba area just after 10am today (Thursday).

The road between Crosby and Ballacraine was closed for more than six hours while police carried out investigations.

Anyone who saw what happened is asked to come forward.

The man's family has been informed but his name has not yet been released to the media.

Inspector in charge of the Roads Policing Unit, Richard Power, says because he wasn't from over here, it makes carrying out inquiries more difficult (audio file attached):
