DHSS meetings 'constructive'

A series of public meetings held by the Department of Health and Social Security have been described as 'very constructive'.

One issue which came to the fore was the increasing difficulty of providing more care to a growing population without increased funding.

The government's health and benefits bill has doubled in the last four years to more than ?400 million per year.

Minister Eddie Teare (pictured) says he's pleased the public are looking at the bigger picture (audio file attached):
