Doggie doo doo (JD)

Dog owners in Douglas are being urged to observe new bye-law signs which indicate where you can’t exercise your poches.

The signs have been put up as Council enforcement officers prepare to issue fixed-penalty notices to anyone caught ignoring dog fouling bye-laws.

Dogs are banned from a number of areas, including the town garden squares, although a dog exercising area was specially created by the Council in Noble’s Park last year.

The bye-laws, which set out the areas where dogs are banned, can be viewed either at the town hall or on the council’s website – www.douglas.gov.im – along with bye-laws relating to others areas in the capital.
