A milestone in Manx social history will be celebrated later today (Sunday).
Seventy years after Harry Kelly's Cottage in Cregneash was officially opened to the public, the anniversary will be marked with what’s described as a 'family day out' with a variety of craft and farming demonstrations, as well as trades of the period on display.
When Harry Kelly died in the mid-1930s, his family donated his cottage to the museum and it went onto become the first open-air folk museum in Britain.
It gives visitors a glimpse of what rural life in the Island was like in the 1800s.
Today's event runs from 10 o’clock until five.
