HELP NEEDED AT VICTIM SUPPORT

Victim Support in the Isle of Man is on the look-out for new volunteers.

A recruitment drive's begun to find a team of people with good listening skills - and some spare time on their hands.

The service offers a vital support to those who've been the victims of crime - or suffered a bereavement.

Volunteers for the Witness Support scheme help those facing the ordeal of giving evidence in court.

All volunteers will be given full training - and the opportunity to 'shadow' experienced volunteers before meeting clients on their own.

Co ordinator Paula Gelling outlines some of the qualities they're looking for:
