Friday's outdoor film night cancelled

by isleofman.com 28th August 2008
Bad news for film lovers looking forward to tomorrow (Friday's) outdoor screening of 'Stormbeaker' at the Nunnery in Douglas.

The Under the Stars presentation has been cancelled - due to the recent heavy rains.

Organisers Isle of Man Film and the Arts Council say the lawns at the Nunnery are water-logged - and the decision's been made- reluctantly - to call-off the event.

Full refunds will be given to those who've bought tickets.

But on the positive side - Saturday night's screenings of Dirty Dancing and Shaun of the Dead WILL go ahead.

It's hoped the extra 24 hours will give time for the grounds to dry out.
