An inquest has heard a Ramsey man died from pneumonia, possibly brought-on by the superbug MRSA.
64-year old David Hockaday from Walpole Road in the town died in Noble's Hospital on August 17th.
The inquest in Douglas was told Mr Hockaday inhaled gastric contents during a choking episode, which led to the infection in his lungs.
After hearing the results of a post-mortem, Coroner Alistair Montgomerie said the death was due to natural causes.
However, the hearing was told further investigations are underway, and the inquest was adjourned.
