Michael reaches funding target

A Douglas man who needs a life-saving brain tumour operation is thanking the Manx public for its support.

A massive fundraising drive over the last two months has now reached its ?50,000 target.

And that means 29 year-old Michael Bellis can travel to America for treatment at a neurology centre in Boston.

Michael, who can’t have the operation in Britain due to the position and type of his tumour, says he can plan the trip after a medical appointment later today:
