Coastguard describes search

by isleofman.com 30th August 2008
The Douglas coastguard has been describing the scale of the search operation to find a man thought to have walked into the sea last night.

Three rescue teams searched the shore after reports of a man running into the water opposite Colours Nightclub in the early hours - and the Douglas lifeboat was also launched.

The search involved coastguard officers in immersion suits and four-wheel drive vehicles searching the shoreline.

The search was called off just after 4am when the person was located ashore.
