Barclay wins Senior MGP

It may have been delayed by the weather but it was well worth the wait.

And Adam Barclay enjoyed it most of all, winning an exciting senior Manx Grand Prix.

He took victory by 11 seconds from James McCullagh with Irishman Mickey Fitzpatrick third, a further 29 seconds behind.

The ‘blue-riband’ event of the meeting was reduced to two laps after initially being held up due to an oil spill.

In triumphing, Barclay only missed out on a 120 mph lap by 0.4 mph – and he was delighted in victory, which he dedicated to the late John Goodall (audio file attached):
