Kitchen fire in Willaston

by isleofman.com 1st September 2008
Fire officers were called to a kitchen blaze at a house on Snaefell Road in Willaston in the early hours of yesterday (Sun) morning.

It's thought the cause was an unattended chip pan .

One man was treated for smoke inhalation and there was slight smoke damage to the kitchen.

Fire officers are reminding anyone using kitchen appliances not to leave pans unattended.

If you do have a chip pan fire, you should call 999 and DO NOT attempt to use water to put it out as this will cause a fireball.
