Man helped by MGP helicopter

Peel lifeboat and the Manx Grand Prix helicopter were called to help a small boat off Ballaugh Cronk on Saturday.

At 2.30pm, the lifeboat was launched after a report of a person having difficulties in the boat, which was about 200 yards offshore.

A 40 year-old man was was rescued and brought ashore.

He was taken to Noble’s Hospital by the helicopter, but there are no further details of his injuries.
