by isleofman.com 2nd September 2008
Police in Port Erin are on the look out for copper thieves.

Around 40 metres of 15 mm copper piping was taken from a building site close to Rushen church, sometime between 4.30pm on Thursday and 8am on Friday.

It had been stored in a garage which had been left open.

Officers say it was an opportunistic theft and are reminding members of the public to make sure their belongings are kept secure and out of sight.

Anybody with any information about the theft is asked to ring Port Erin police on 832222.
