Keggin inquest

A verdict of accident death has been recorded after a teenager from Ballasalla was killed in a freak accident in Indonesia last week.

In court this morning (Tues) coroner Alistair Montgomerie said that 18 year-old Charles Keggin died after being electrocuted when he grabbed a wire in a cement box while partially submerge in a swimming pool in south Jakarta, where he was visiting his parents.

The tragedy happened on Sunday, August the 24th and he was pronounced dead at the Global Doctor Medical Centre in the region.

Mr Montgomerie offered his condolences to Mr Keggin’s family and friends.

His funeral is due to be held at King William’s College Chapel later this week.
