Manx Grand Prix 2008 was a success, despite the awful weather.
That's the verdict of the new clerk of the course who says he found it enjoyable, but a steep learning curve.
Phil Taubman, who has been clerk of the course for the Southern 100 for a number of years, says the organisation of the MGP is a much more difficult task, but with the hard work of his team it all worked out well.
Mr Taubman (pictured) admits the many delays caused frustration for riders and the public, and is paying tribute to the marshals who were determined to make sure the last day of racing, which had to be postponed, went ahead on the Saturday:
