Billown races compromise reached

by isleofman.com 3rd September 2008
It looks like the running of the TT races at Billown next year is back on track.

ACU Events Limited and Southern 100 organisers had been at loggerheads over the Steam Packet races, the former saying there was no room for them in 2009, but a compromise has now been all but reached.

An extraordinary general meeting to discuss the issue has been called by Southern 100 Motorcycle Racing Limited.

Company Secretary George Peach says over half of the organisation's members had rejected the ACU's initial proposals at an earlier EGM on August 24th: (audio clip attached)

The EGM takes place a week on Sunday, September 14th, at 8pm at the Masonic Lodge, Hope Street, Castletown.
