An inquest will be heard this afternoon (Weds) into the death of one of the Manx Grand Prix’s most popular riders.
67 year-old engineer John Goodall died last week following a crash in the Senior Classic race.
He sustained serious chest and rib injuries after coming off his Matchless classic motorcycle at Ballacraine.
Earlier this year, Mr Goodall was awarded the Spirit of the Manx award, having competed in every classic race at the MGP since he won the inaugural Senior Classic 25 years ago and had received 40 Manx Grand Prix replicas during his career.
The inquest, before Alistair Montgomerie, will be heard at 2.30pm at Douglas courthouse (pictured).
