Government should subsidise energy

The Isle of Man government should use money from its reserve in order to help vulnerable groups with spiralling energy costs.

That's the belief of the President of the Trades Union Council, Bernard Moffatt.

Earlier this week the council suspended normal business at its meeting in order to discuss issues which are seen as being of critical importance.

Mr Moffatt says at times of crisis government should assist vulnerable groups in the community:
