LegCo reform meeting

The Liberal Vannin Party meets later today (Friday) to decide its policy on reform of the Legislative Council.

The party's executive will debate whether to support Martyn Quayle's Bill on the way LegCo is elected.

Under Mr Quayle's formula, MLCs would be elected to eight, new, single-seat constituences.

Other proposals for an elected LegCo have failed to find favour with Tynwald members.
