The inquest into the death of an Manx Grand Prix fan who died in an accident last month has opened and adjourned.
Matthew Robson Rae, 43, was from Motherwell in Scotland and died on the main Douglas to Peel Road between the Highlander restaurant and Greeba Castle on Thursday, August 21.
Coroner Alistair Mongtomery said the cause of death was massive head injuries resulting from a collision with a slow-moving car.
He adjourned the inquest to a date to be fixed and investigations are ongoing.
