The coroner of inquests has opened and adjourned a hearing into the death of a woman who apparently fell from the upper level of a car park.
Jody Forsythe, 40, was from the Sulby area and died in Noble’s Hospital on August 22, two days after the fall in Queen's Street, Douglas.
Coroner Alistair Montgomery said the cause of death was a severe brain injury resulting from a fall.
He said investigations into Mrs Forsythe’s death were still ongoing and so it was necessary to adjourn the case to a date to be fixed.
Mr Montgomery passed on his deepest condolences to her husband Anthony and two daughters Jade and Jasmine, who were in court.
