Local woman raises pier alarm

A local woman was among the first to try and raise the alarm after an historic pier in Fleetwood was gutted by fire.

It's now thought vandals may be responsible for the blaze.

Crews were called to Fleetwood just after 4am on Tuesday.

It's been in a state of disrepair for some time and hundreds of residents
signed a petition recently against re-development.

Fiona Robinson, who's from Andreas, was staying in a hotel close to the pier and tried to alert emegency services (audio file attached):
