Primary school teachers in the Isle of Man who've just completed leadership training will be recognised this afternoon.
They will be be presented with certificates to mark their achievements by the Education Minister, Anne Craine.
Marian Kenny reports (text, below, from attached audio file):
Thirty-one teachers from around the Island took part in the level two and level three training.
It's been a professional challenge for them and should help raise standards of management in schools.
Level two was aimed at those responsible for leading an area of the curriculum or a distinct aspect of school life.
Teachers completed assignments and an assessed task, based on their teaching.
The higher level training was aimed at those with straegic roles - possibly team leaders - to equip them to become deputy heads or headteachers in future.
The minister (pictured) will present the certificates at the Isle of Man College later this afternoon.
