Police have launched a new scheme to try and reduce criminal damage in the Isle of Man.
Project-SNAPP - Specific Neighbourhood Approach to Policing Problems - is a multi-agency initiative which will target offenders, protect victims and secure locations where criminal damage is most likely to occur.
It's also hoped to prevent repeat victimisation.
Part of the project is to persuade motorists to tuck in wing mirrors and put down aerials on parked cars to help keep them safe from vandals.
The initiative is being launched the morning after 15 vehicles parked Douglas had their wing mirrors broken off. They were all parked around Windsor Road, Albert Terrace, the bottom end of Broadway and Castle Mona Avenue. The damage was caused sometime between 10.30 and 11pm last night.
Police are looking for a man described as white, around five foot seven in height, wearing a white camouflage jacket and light coloured top. He was seen in the area at the time.
Anyone who can help is asked to ring Lord Street police station on 631212 at any time, or speak to investigating officer Constable Adrian Cannell after 4pm.
