Director explains new registration system

The new method of registering vehicles in the Isle of Man will be more accurate and relevant, according to director of highways Bruce Hannay.

Vehicle registration certificates will replace the outdated yellow log book - 60,000 of which will be replaced during the next 12 months.

The new system is computerised and will enable the Department of Transport to collect more information about vehicles, such as details about CO2 emissions.
