Market turmoil worst in 50 years - Stott

One of the Island’s best-known stockbrokers says the current stock market turmoil is the worst financial crisis he has ever seen.

Dursley Stott (pictured) says there have been many stock market crashes during his 50 year career.

Those in 1976, 1987 and 1992 caused market chaos, but the panic following the collapse of Lehman Brothers is the worst he’s experienced.

He says the sheer size of the global crisis is shocking:
