Island ahead in pay scale

The latest figures from Treasury show the Island’s economy is leaving the UK stuck in the shade.

New statistics show the average income for a Manx resident is now ?22,500, while in the UK it’s only ?19,000.

But the snapshot, taken a year ago, doesn’t tell the whole story.

Treasury Minister Allan Bell says up until five years ago, we trailed behind the UK when it came to income (audio file attached):
