by isleofman.com 21st September 2008
The local winner of an unclaimed prize of quarter of a million pounds has identified herself to the organisers of the United Kingdom national lottery.

The woman has chosen to remain anonymous, but she is understood to be in her 40s and lives in Douglas.

'Thunderball' players in the Island were advised to double-check their tickets, when the ?250,000 prize remained 'up for grabs' more than a fortnight after the draw was made.

The lucky winner is due to pick up her prize in the United Kingdom on Monday.
