by isleofman.com 22nd September 2008
Sean Hands has won a record-breaking Ramsey Bakery End-to-End Walk.

He completed the 39.22 miles distance in a time of six hours, 44 minutes and seven seconds.

That beat the previous record of Robbie Callister by more than 12 minutes.

Hands (pictured) was surprised but delighted (audio file attached):

It was a similar story for the top three with second placed Michael George and third man home Jock Waddington also eclipsing the record.

Sue Biggart set a new record en-route to victory in the women’s race with Lisa Motley second and double Parish Walk finisher Bethany Clague in third.

Adam Killip and Melissa Cubbon were the respective under-21 winners to Peel.
