Christian gets British Call

by isleofman.com 24th September 2008
Mark Christian has become the fourth Isle of Man cyclist to be selected for the British Under-23 Olympic Academy in recent years.

He follows in the wheel tracks of Mark Cavendish, Jonny Bellis and Peter Kennaugh.

The British Cycling website says those chosen will be "aged typically 18 to 23 and will be exceptional athletes with the clear potential to become world-class performers."

It means Mark Christian will be based in Manchester through the winter and Italy over the summer road season.
