Karran spells out LVP vision

by isleofman.com 26th September 2008
The leader of the Liberal Vannin Party is hoping his organisation will benefit from his recent attendance at a political gathering in Northern Ireland.

Peter Karran was at the Alliance Party's 38th annual conference in Bangor.

He says the Alliance Party has similar policies to the LVP, and his party is making good progress: "The whole idea of the Liberal Vannin Party is to put some sort of audit and accountability into the systems of government.

"We have moved a tremendous distance in the last 20 years in the Island, from when I first became an MHK, but we need to put the proper good systems of government into the Island, especially now that there are harder times around the corner, so we can get the efficiency and the effectiveness of the government working for the benefit of the people and not for themselves."
