A new era has officially begun in the world of vehicle licensing in the Isle of Man.
The first vehicle registration certificate has been issued, replacing the familiar yellow logbook.
The vehicle in question was a Landrover, owned by the Department of Transport.
Over the course of the next 12 months, almost 60,000 logbooks will be replaced.
The computerised system will hold accurate records of vehicles and their keepers, details of vehicle categories and emissions.
To help people understand the process better, a helpline has been set up and additional information is available on a new dedicated website.
